Welcome back to another addition to the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Today’s show is all about the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff. Bill and Keith discuss Pete Carroll of course, and then we turn our attention to the key additions to the staff this off season. Coach Shottenheimer, Coach Solari and Coach Norton Jr. were all hired early in the off season and replaced Bevell, Cable and Richard respectively. We discuss each new coach, the role that they have on the team and how each coach will carry Pete Carroll’s message to their respective groups, and bring in their own elements to try and bring out the best of their players. We also take a deeper look into the long list of assistant coaches on staff and how it all fits together.
While we agree that this group of coaches lacks the youth and innovation that some fans were clamoring for, it does bring a seasoned steady the ship mentality that will continue to promote Pete Carroll’s messaging and philosophies in install a continuity that the team has been lacking the last few seasons.

Hello Hawks fans and welcome back to the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Today’s episode takes a deep roster look at the cornerback position group and we devote a bit of time at the end to talk special teams as well, to wrap up our multi-part look at the current 90-man roster as we head into summer. Both Keith and I are very comfortable with our starting three corners, Griffin, Maxwell and Coleman, but after that, the position is somewhat thin if something should happen to any one of those main guys. The best of the remaining bunch could very well end up being rookie Tre Flowers, but we won’t know that for sure until most likely the mid-way point of the 2018 season. He will definitely be a player to keep an eye on as the season progresses to see if he can steel any snaps away from Maxwell. If Flowers takes a bit extra time to develop, this could be one position group on the team that the team looks to solidify by adding a player before the season, just for added depth and insurance.

Welcome back to another addition of the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Today Keith Myers and Bill Alvstad continue our series of shows looking at all the position groups on the roster. Next up: Defensive ends and defensive tackle groups. Both groups face critical departures from last years team. Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril are gone now at defensive end, and Sheldon Richardson’s one-year stint at defensive tackle is over and he’s moved on to the Vikings. In their place are a group of old veterans and unproven young talent. As we go through each player, we will examine the projected starters and the depth that will make up this year’s unit.

Welcome to the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Each week, Keith Myers and Bill Alvstad deliver a new, one hour plus show of original content covering your favorite team, The Seattle Seahawks. We keep it going 52 weeks out of the year because we love football and of course The Hawks. Producing content in the off-season can be challenging, but it actually gives us time to take a deeper dive into the team and players that we just simply can’t do when we are in season. And with that, we are smack dab in the middle of our 7-part series of shows that take a deeper look into each position group, plus a coach’s show at the end of the series to tie it all together. This week, it’s one of Keith’s favorite groups: The Offensive Line.
