Hawks Playbook Podcast Episode 70: Who Needs To Step Up On Defense?
Last week, Bill and Keith looked at the players on offense that need to step up for the Seahawks to make a push at the playoffs. This week they turn their attention to the defense.
Unlike last week, this week holds some bigger names. While the offense needs new guys to step up and contribute, the situation on defense is different. Seattle’s defense saw a group of stars walk out the door this offseason, and now young players are being expected to go from being a role player to being a genuine star.
That is a lot of pressure. It is also a huge question mark that hangs over the team as they do their final prep for training camp. The Seahawks defense is going to look very different now that Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman, Cliff Avril, and Kam Chancellor are all either retired or playing for a new team.
