Join Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers for the latest edition of the Seahawks Playbook Podcast. Up this week is our fresh look at Free Agency, highlighting the defensive side of the ball. Last week’s show focused on offense, but the Seahawks are sure to pay more attention this year to improve upon their 27th overall ranked defense.
We jump right in to the area we (everyone) believe the Seahawks should be quite active, and that’s the defensive line. Seattle has a serious decision to make with regards to trying to retain the services of Jadaveon Clowney at a considerable cost….some are estimating he could come in at over 23M per year. That could prove to be too rich for the Seahawks, and Keith and Bill have that discussion. With or without Clowney, the team will be adding additional talent to a defensive line that was ranked in the bottom third of the league in every major statistical category.
