The Seahawks have clinch the NFC West title for the first time since 2016 by beating the Los Angles Rams, 20-9 in the week 16 match up. By doing so, Seattle is guaranteed no worse than the 3rd seed in the NFC playoff picture, and at least one home field game in the playoffs. Seattle’s defense again stepped up big time in this game, while the offense did just enough to hand the rams their 6th loss of the year.

Up this week: The Seattle Seahawks knocked down their NFC East opponent the Washington Football Team this past Sunday by the score of 20-15. Seattle scored all of it’s points in the 1st half and then held on, in typical Seahawks fashion to pull out a playoff clinching victory. The win, combined with the Rams loss to the previously win less New York Jets also moved the team back into sole possession of 1st place in the division.

Seahawks Playbook Podcast Episode 203: Seahawks Defeat Jets, Now Travel to Take on Washington

Seahawk fans, welcome again to another edition of the Seahawks Playbook Podcast! Join your hosts Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers and we breakdown the win vs the New York Jets and we look ahead to the contest vs the Washington Football Team. Seattle final found an opponent it could easily handle and blowout in the Jets, giving fans a brief glimpse of what it’s like to relax and have fun during an actual football game. Kidding aside, the Seahawks showed up and handled its business against the worst record team in the NFL at now 0-13. The good news out of this game was that Seattle dominated on both sides of the ball, continuing that now 5-week trend on defense, as well as reestablishing itself on the offensive side of the ball as a team that can move up and down the field and score at will. Of course, we all know it’s the Jets, but none the less, it was a good sign if they can maintain this level of play moving forward.

Seahawks Playbook Podcast Episode 201: Eagles Defeated and Now Seahawks Look to Conquer Giants

Seahawks fans, wherever you may be, welcome back to the Seahawks Playbook Podcast! Join Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers talk Seahawks football. This week we discuss the victory over the Philadelphia Eagles this past Monday night as well as look ahead to the upcoming home game vs the New York Giants. We are in the middle of the so called easy part of the schedule where the Seahawks finish the season with the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL. After the Giants, it’s the Jets and the Washington Football Club before finishing the season against the Rams and 49ers. Things do seem to be lining up well for the team in December, and the Seahawks do have a real shot at 12 or 13 wins on the season and a chance for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This would be the best path towards the Super Bowl as the team has had in 5 years.
