Hawks Playbook Podcast Episode 56

EPS 56 Hawks Playbook Podcast – Draft Prospects: Skill Positions Show

Hello Hawks Playbook Podcast listeners! Welcome to another addition of the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Today’s Episode starts our 4-part series previewing Draft prospects that fit into what the Seattle Seahawks will be looking for at each position. Today, we begin with the play-makers, the skill positions. This group features the Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Tight Ends and Wide Receivers. Keith and I independently studied and reviewed dozens of prospects at each position including game film analysis, and narrowed our lists down to just a handful of players at each position. We go over potential players and where in the draft the Seahawks would likely find them. We focus on both premier talent, and the kind of players that would be hidden gems in later rounds. This is a super fun group of players to study, particularly at Wide Receiver and Running Back. We both expect the Hawks to take at least one each with the current 9 overall draft picks that Seattle holds.

EPS 54 Podcast: Seattle Moves on from Key Players

Hello and welcome back to the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Your Host’s Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers have a wide-ranging conversation about key player losses and what it means for the franchise moving forward. We go over Free Agency strategy for the team, who by all accounts, do not plan to make a heavy splash in new player signings. We both agree the team is likely to move on from Sheldon Richardson, Jimmy Graham and now Paul Richardson, and by not signing reciprocal dollar amount contracts back to the team, should receive three compensatory draft picks in 2019. The team can expect two 3rd round picks for S. Richardson and Graham and a 4th round pick for P. Richardson.

EPS 53 Podcast: The Combine: It’s the Shaquem Griffin Show

Hey Seahawks fans, welcome back to the Hawks Playbook Podcast. Thank you so much for listening to Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers as we meet here each week to discuss all the happenings around your favorite team, The Seattle Seahawks! This week, we go into the NFL Combine. This event was held this last week to showcase the upcoming draft eligible players and help us identify which of those players would fit into the athletic profile of what Pete Carroll and John Schneider like to have on the team. We break down the offensive and defensive players in each position group that could be ‘Seahawky’ players. On the top of the list must be Shaquill Griffins brother Shaquem! He had a remarkable athletic performance at the combine by doing 20 reps on the bench press with a prosthetic hand and then running a blistering 4.38 Forty at a playing weight of 227 lbs! Wouldn’t be great to reunite these twin brothers on Seattle’s defense?!
